Hey Brandon, I'm going to put my micro teaching 2 comments here for you. I thought you did a really great job with your lesson. You had a good introduction and the way you just threw us into the activity gave a strong incentive to participate and be creative. You also picked interesting topics for each part of the country we were creating which each decision having a real impact that we could feel while filling out the next part. The money props were a nice touch as well. Everyone is naturally competitive so when each group has money it makes the student really want to try to make something good. You could definitely use this lesson when you have a job, I think the kids would really enjoy it and get a good grasp of what makes somewhere a good place to live and what doesn't. The writing assignment as the follow up for the exercise was a great idea and the way you linked it to the reading of the unit felt very natural. Your lesson was a lot of fun and I felt like I took something away from it so great job!
